The Throwdown is back and better than ever. Our second annual event will take place September 5 and 6 at Taos Eco Park. The 10,000sqft FIFA rated artificial turf surface will be transformed into a great shock absorbing arena for 80 plus athletes and thousands of pounds of reps taking place over two exciting days of heart-pounding team fitness relays.

Carmen Medrano of Taos Mountain Warrior Fitness and Adrian Reyes of 505 Strength Coach have worked hard to prepare action-packed, safe, fun programming for our teams in both Scaled and Rx’d divisions that is modeled after Grid competitions, and Taos Sports Alliance has provided event development and production support to make sure their programming goes off without a hitch. We can’t wait to Throwdown this weekend to support Taos Cancer Support Services, a program of Holy Cross Hospital.

This event is free for spectators, and donations are requested at the door for Taos Cancer Support Services, so bring a few bucks to throw in the box, and bring the name of someone you love who has battled cancer so we can help honor them at this event. Positive thinking is proven to be powerful, and when a group sets an intention, anything can happen. Let’s together share the names of those strong folks we know and share them with the world. We’ll announce them on the field as inspiration to the athletes, and we’ll share on social media to send the ripple effect wider!

The event takes place from 3:30pm-7:00pm on Saturday and from 9:00am-1:00pm on Sunday at Taos Eco Park, 940 Salazar Rd, Taos.
